The Face Edit: Lykke Li
In the digitally driven era that we now live in and where a filter can determine your beauty, it’s often hard to find a captivating look that hasn’t been contrasted, brightened or in any form been touched by VSCOM. But as the Swedish continue to invade our feeds with effortless street style moments and bare faces, it’s time to appreciate and celebrate Sweden’s answer to the Olsen’s, minus the extra 46 chromosomes. Lykke Li, the songstress that brings a dark shadow on her futuristic sound has quickly become a beauty crush that we all want to look like. With a story telling face and somewhat Olsen- esque eyes, the 29-year-old Swed, talks about her beauty regime, secrets and how she gets that wet hair without actually showering.
Make Up: “My routine is super simple- during the day, I don’t wear much make up, and I only put makeup on for the show. I like to use coconut-based products. It’s amazing, coconut oil. I use it as a moisturizer. I take off my makeup with it. I put a little bit in my coffee. I have coconut oil with everything.”
Hair: “I don’t do anything with my hair. I wash it with Davines shampoo. If I want a dry look, I’ll put some dry shampoo in my hair. If I want a wet look, I’ll use coconut oil. I’m super low maintenance.”
Perfume: “Because I have such a simple style—I only dress in black with very few accessories—I always have a good perfume. The Tom Ford one, I love. It’s the special one, Tobacco Vanille.”
