Paris Fashion Week: Rick Owens SS16
The Rick tribe has triumphantly returned for the Spring Summer season. With Owen's accustomed, boundary pushing creations of asymmetric greatness, the Professor Snape of fashion, showcased his latest collection at PFW. Playing with tones and textures, the collection which was marched down to thumping rap music, courtesy of Carnage, dollied with the construction of the male silhouette, which was emphasised through reconstructed sweaters, sleeveless tunics, and the obligatory drop crotch pants. Forming a uniform of anti glamour against the fashion norm, 52 year old Rick, drew inspiration from his favorite artists, John Chamberlain and Steven Parrino. Evident reference from Parrino's work was highlighted through the flow of his dark, constructed artwork, which was carefully translated into the drape, structure and rhythm of the Spring Summer collection. The show also played homage to the latest Adidas x Rick Owens shoes, creating new friends for your feet this summer.
