Loewe Spring Summer 2016
This season J.W Anderson went to space, loved it, drew it and came back and conceived the ultimate Spring Summer collection. Stylised in a 22nd century form, Anderson pushed the boundaries of the modern day woman with a range of playful tones and textures, based around transforming trash into treasure. The obligatory Loewe dress over trousers made an appearance, and new essentials like transparent PVC trousers, mirror mosaic dresses, logo emblazoned trousers were introduced. Reflecting a futuristic notion, quite literally, Anderson added animal friendly accessories such as chunky fish necklaces and bird brooches. The plastic fantastic collection made a rarefied statement amongst the commercially loving fashion crowd of where Irish designer J.W Anderson thankfully brought back some originality through his love of juxtapositioning and space odyssey. Shout out to J.W for making our next wardrobe change a lot cooler but with a lot more zeros on the end of it.
