The Weeknd ended 2015 with one of the best-produced music videos ‘In the night’, featuring girlfriend Bella Hadid, as a very 80’s looking dancer alongside violent Bruce Lee edits that made the video one of the most gif worthy of the year. Creating a whole new era of cinematography, music and all round surrealism, the Canadian singer, real name Abel Tesfaye, teamed up with director duo, BRTHR to bring a 1980’s gangster film to a 21st century. The pair stated “We love how aggressive and pretty the imagery of that is. We feel like it fits within the visual universe of The Weeknd’s album title Beauty Behind The Madness.” (Dazed Digital)
