Prada goes green
Prada has become the latest fashion house to realise the damage that the world is facing with climate change, waste consumption and C02 emissions. The Italian brand is revealing it’s strategies to tackle the current happenings following in the footsteps of Stella McCartney and Vivienne Westwood. The company has claimed that in the past year they have reduced it’s emissions by 596 tonnes as well as using up to 40 percent of recycled paper.
The chairman of the board of directors of Prada S.p.A talked about the issue stating “Beauty, creativity and superior quality have always been the Prada Group’s guiding principles. Nature and humanity are the cornerstones of those principles. Respect for the environment and for individuals underpins our behaviour at all times, both within our company and in the relationship with our partners, suppliers, clients and institutions.”
