Everything and everyone that comes out of Belgium, specifically and most famously, Antwerp, just so happens to make some mark on the fashion industry. Raf Simons, Kris Van Assche and Ann Demuelemeester to name a handful, have become some of fashion's dictators, creating a pathway for individualistic creations. In their own surrealistic and innovative way, Belgians fashion industry is now being celebrated by curator, Didier Vervaeren in 'The Belgians: An Unexpected Fashion Story'. The unlikely but evolving and inspiring city of Antwerp, which has most famously created 'The Antwerp Six', has been the birth place for the exploration of pushing boundaries and setting new standards for fashion stories. The exhibition will be divided into different segments of thematic rooms, examining the different artistic notions of designers and their contribution to making Belgium one of the most forward thinking fashion hubs of today. Where? The Bozar Centre in Brussels, until September.
