Louis Vuitton goes to the future for Pre- Fall 2016
For Pre-Fall 2016, Karim Sadli, one of the most in-demand photographers of 21st century fashion, directed a short film for the French house of Louis Vuitton. Exploring themes of neon classism, steampunk and sports-luxe, creative director, Nicolas Ghesquiere took to the seasonal LV girls that includes pink haired beauty, Fernanda Ly. The collection featured latex gloves, platform combat boots, monochrome graphics and highly clinched belts that reflected the strong dynamism that Ghesquiere has added to the brand and it's rebirth of futurism. The video version of the Ready to Wear lookbook follows the models in an LED lit underground space, showcasing the practicality of the new collection and it's strong mixture of the tech inspired fabrics and structures.
