ALYX challenges the female silhouette for Fall Winter 2016
Creative director, Matthew Williams; not the British designer who has a love affair for florals and butterflies, this is Chicago born creative director of ALYX, who just released his Fall/Winter 2016 line entitled 'Natural Order'. Renowned for shining a light on the underground world of fashion, music and art, Williams takes Fall layering to the next level with his provocative but very wearable collection. Challenging the female silhouette, the collection features, boxed blazers, spaghetti tops over turtle necks and lots and lots of latex. The ready-to-wear collection harnesses inspiration from Williams' Californian youth as well as global urban subcultures that he carefully deconstructs then brilliantly reconstructs with his unique perspective on design. ALYX, who has been named one of the semi finalists of this years LVMH Prize, is currently stocked in Dover Street Market, Machine-A, Colette and Maryam Nassir Zadeh.
