Sterling Ruby launched an exclusive clothing archive
Inspired by the Bauhaus movement and lover of all things bleached, American artist and designer, Sterling Ruby will be showcasing his clothing archive for the very first time. Renowned for his collaboration with fellow futurist, Raf Simons, Ruby will be presenting an eight year survey of his clothing at a London exhibit, entitled 'Work Wear: Garment and Textile Archive 2008-2016'. His uniform of distressed bleach jackets, shirts and jeans, Sterling's showcase will present an archive of coats, ponchos, trousers and bags that will represent the creative process from a different perspective that's never been seen before. Inspired by his rural Pennsylvania upbringing to his grandmothers utilitarian clothing, Ruby's iconic clothing is now on display at Sprüth Magers London until April 9th 2016.
