Vetements' 90's word art inspires AVALONE's Fall 2016 collection
Since Vetements made the tackiest thing of the 90's a wearable thing, designers have gone on to continue the pattern of Word Art through street friendly pieces. In the midst of Tokyo Fashion Week, Japanese brand AVALONE presented their Fall Winter 16 collection heavily referencing the 90's metal scene with their oversized, lack of structured garments. Sticking to the Marilyn Manson uniform of blue contact lenses and dark colour palettes, the collection saw bold proportions accented with the name of the brand across trousers and hoodies that kept the theme of the dark side of the 90's metal culture. The sports-luxe line brought a wearable collection for Fall Winter with an added extra on understated shades and silhouettes.
