Why this MISBHV collection is nothing new
Raf Simons juxtapositioned graphics and Vetements' iconic 90's word art font was merged together to form Polish brand MISBHV's Fall Winter 2016 collection. Inspired by the DIY punk era, particularly in Eastern Europe, the ready-to-wear label has become a pioneering name within the underground scene of fashion. It's founder, Natalia Maczek frequently displays her love of rebellion and subcultures through her pieces, however this season, photo patches on jackets and 'biker-like' font emblazoned on the side of trousers is nothing new. Signature pieces included turtlenecks and sweaters with 'HARD CORE' written text, as well as a biker jacket which was divided into two colours; red and black, with 'SONIC YOU' on the back. Although the contemporary collection did shine a light on the rebellious youth movements, a sense of connection to other houses' ideologies took more of a stance.
