Highlighting the effects of regeneration schemes and socio-economic change, British designer Daniel Fletcher brings culturally relevant issues to his Spring 2017 collection. After debuting the collection at London Collections Mens Fashion Week with models on the street holding blankets with 'Stay' and 'Better Together' on them. Fletcher spoke about his Spring collection which he describes the mood as British holiday-makers. "I feel like as a designer, this is my way of expressing myself. And if I can talk about issues that are important to me, it is a way to get my voice heard, and it has become a bit of a recurring theme. I don’t want to come across as preachy. But as a younger person, I believe our generation needs to stand up and talk about things that affect us.” Merging his signature sportswear aesthetic the latest drop plays heavily with proportions, tailoring and embellishments as seen through printed jackets, billowy trousers and knee length scarves.
