Rick Owens took to his usual spot at Palais De Tokyo to present his Spring Summer 2017 mens collection at Paris Fashion Week. As expected draping silhouettes and voluminous structure was seen throughout the 41 look collection, entitled 'Walrus'. Billowing trousers, slim fit tops and other dramatically swept pieces was all presented in conjunction with a surprising choice of a Neil Young track 'After The Gold Rush'. Maintaining his tribal-esque DNA, the complex collection saw draped mustard hues, saffron structures and monochromatic experimentation for the warmer climate. Playing with proportions, the rhythmic collection covertly presented Owens' ongoing collaboration with sports brand Adidas, unfortunately all were covered with the extreme amount of trouser fabric.

The 53 year old Californian native, like many designers this year has been reacting to societies movement “I’m thinking about that a lot, thinking about the challenges that the world is facing, and how people deal with changes.” he continues “You can put up a defensive facade – which is great, and I’ve done that, we all do that, and that can be totally fine. But this season, I thought I wanted to do something more gentle.”
