This is OFF-WHITE's Resort 2017 collection
Entitled 'Roses of War' Virgil Abloh presented his Resort 2017 collection for the much loved OFF-WHITE. The designer spoke about his latest collection and who exactly he created it for “The essence of the relaxed Off-White girl, it’s her version of chic versus her version of lounge-y/going to brunch, and how it can seamlessly translate to one another.” With the current social movements going on in the world, Abloh reacts to current affairs through his use of juxtaposed graphics such as the camo-printed, theatrically draped skirt to the rose emblazoned jackets and blouses with 'WOMAN' on the front.
As a 21st century ready-to-wear label, the urban market are positively responding to it, as both a brand and a lifestyle. Maintaining a simple colour palette of monochrome and beiges and baby blue stripes, the Resort 2017 is a direction on how to stay cool for 2017.
