The XX's bass player and co-vocalist, Oliver Sim is the new face of Dior Homme's SS16 campaign, which has been shot by long term family friend of the fashion house, Willy Vandeperre. Dressed in the brands SS16 collection, which pre-dominantly consists of cigarette suits accompanied by an array of zips, the monochromatic imagery is a lead up to a short film called ‘Stranger in the room’. The film is based around the bands hit in 2015 ‘In Colour’ which features Sim’s vocals that will later be revealed by WWD.
Dior Homme’s Creative Director, Kris Van Assche spoke to WWD saying “Each character embraces qualities they are known for in their actual lives. We feel (they) embody something of the spirit of Dior Homme today and we wanted to create the idea of a Dior Homme world that has a dialogue with these men.”
