James Franco drops an album and 10 short films to go with it
Actor, director, teacher, poet and singer, James Franco has dropped his first album with his band, Daddy. The alternative band that has been dedicated solely to The Smiths, is Franco's latest vision that he calls an 'art film'. The artist explains that “We loved the sound of the English New Wave, especially the Smiths. The album was meant to reflect that, but with our own twists. The experiences of youth play so well into this sound.”
The musical project entitled 'Let me get what I want' is accompanied with 10 conceptual films that pay homage to the band's love of old school sound and film. The festival friendly genre compiles everything an album should be with it's whispered vocals and 21st century indie rock synths.
